Job summary

Austin Telco FCU is seeking a Collector to manage delinquent loan accounts, communicate with members, and ensure collections follow established procedures. The role supports the credit union’s mission and values while maintaining accurate records and professional member interactions.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual (Spanish/English), with at least six months in a financial setting, and strong confidentiality and organizational skills. On-site Auburn?

Qualifications

• Minimum six months in banking or a financial institution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily follow-up on past due and delinquent accounts with queue compliance.
• Use phone and email to assist members with delinquent accounts and negotiations.
• Counsel members on credit standing and payment resolution.
• Maintain professionalism and discretion when assisting financially stressed members.
• Prepare and mail letters regarding late payments and delinquencies.
