Trax Credit Union is seeking a collections specialist to manage inbound/outbound calls, develop plans to bring delinquent accounts current, and recover balances. You will document interactions, skip trace, and support branches while ensuring compliance with regulations.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish, 2+ years in collections or call center, and proficiency with Word/Excel. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Two years of collections or call center experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; ability to work independently and in a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage calls to develop action plans to bring delinquent accounts current and recover charged-off balances.
• Document member interactions concisely, including follow-up plans and resolutions.
• Skip trace using available tools to locate accounts and contact information.
• Support branch personnel, members, and other departments through inbound calls.
• Perform clerical duties and update insurance documents as needed.
• Research pay history to resolve misapplied payments or incorrect due dates.
• Perform collection duties in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
