HCOA Fitness seeks a Collections Specialist to join a fast-paced, goal-driven team managing past-due accounts for club members and personal trainers. The role supports remote work with periodic in-office days in the Miami area, requiring bilingual English/Spanish communication and a strong focus on debt resolution.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in collections or call centers, familiar with billing procedures, and can work independently within a team.

Responsibilities

• Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules.
• Provide customer service regarding collection issues and process refunds/adjustments.
• Confer with customers by telephone to determine reasons for overdue payments and review contract terms.
• Locate and monitor overdue accounts using ABC Financial system.
• Record information about financial status and collection efforts.
• Perform clerical duties: reports, address changes, payment info changes.
• Monitor and maintain assigned accounts: calls, adjustments, write-offs, reconciliations, credit memos.

The Collections Specialist will be part of a fast-paced goal-oriented collections department focusing on the collection efforts related to past due and/or delinquent club members and personal trainer members.

This position is temporarily remote and may have days where it is required to come into the office. Therefore, candidate must reside in or near Miami, FL.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules, based on customers' financial situations.
• Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, process, and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
• Confer with customers by telephone to determine reasons for overdue payments and to review the terms of the contract or agreement.
• Locate and monitor overdue accounts, using the ABC Financial system.
• Record information about financial status of customers and status of collection efforts.
• Perform miscellaneous clerical and administrative duties such as answering correspondence, writing reports, recording address changes and payment information changes.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts- Customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off, customer reconciliations and processing credit memos.
• Must communicate & follow up effectively with direct supervisor regarding customer accounts on a timely basis.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is required
• 2 years minimum of collections or call center experience required
• Knowledge of billing and collections procedures

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time position

• Schedule 8:50 am -6:00pm (1 hour lunch)
