Job summary

Cook Children's in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Clinical Support Specialist III to provide service coordination support, health education, and case management for CCHP members. This role includes call issue escalation and potential Team Lead duties in their absence.

Bi-lingual English/Spanish required with proficiency in medical terminology and coding basics. Five years' managed care or hospital office experience preferred; BSWS encouraged; Licensed Social Worker preferred; Certified Community Health

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor of Social Work preferred.
• Five years’ experience in a managed care or medical office/hospital environment.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Required. Expert proficiency in conversational, reading, writing, and translating medical terms as well as diagnoses. Must pass Spanish test prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for all Service Coordination Department functions including health education and service coordination services for CCHP members.
• Handle call issue escalation for CCHP members or providers.
• May manage a caseload of members with low to moderate health complexity.
• Provide support for Team Lead duties during the Team Lead’s absence.
