Legacy Community Health is seeking a bilingual Clinical Scheduling Assistant for the Sharpstown area in Houston, TX. This role supports timely, coordinated care by monitoring provider schedules, guiding real-time clinic flow within Legacy's EHRS, and collaborating with clinicians, front desk staff, contact center, and patients.

The position emphasizes communication, organization, and problem-solving to ensure smooth daily operations and a welcoming patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Medical Assistant certification or EHRS training preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor provider schedules and real-time clinic flow to optimize appointments.
• Coordinate day-to-day scheduling following Legacy guidelines.
• Investigate scheduling errors and escalate issues when needed.
• Move patients in schedules to accommodate urgent needs and same-day visits.
• Use wait lists and reports to schedule same-day or next-day appointments.
• Assist with patient communications and portal messages for the site.
• Update patient registration and provider/demographic information.
• Attend required trainings and assimilate new scheduling processes.
