Legacy Community Health in Houston, TX, is seeking a Behavioral Health Representative I, bilingual in English and Spanish, to support on-site behavioral health providers and improve patient access. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, coordination, and teamwork within a busy clinic environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling, registrations, and coordinating language services, with opportunities for professional growth and cross-location coverage.

Qualifications

• BLS (CPR & AED) Certification required.
• Three to six months of related experience preferred.
• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Familiarity with Behavioral Health preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Bilingual English and Spanish speaking required.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and moderate concentration.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential support to Behavioral Health providers, enhancing patient access and care.
• Manage provider schedules and waitlists to ensure optimal patient flow and timely care.
• Facilitate communication between providers and patients through phone and mail correspondence.
• Coordinate language interpretation services to ensure clear and effective communication.
• Assist new patients with registration and complete necessary risk assessments.
• Process Behavioral Health orders and referrals, ensuring follow-up and accuracy.
• Travel to other clinic locations for cross-coverage when needed.
