Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Holds and maintains an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient information by communicating with a patient.
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
• Records appropriate patient information on patient charts and Salesforce.
• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records.
• Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about surgery.
• Assists in preparation of charts, pre-admission, and consent forms.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures as well as complies with legal regulations.
• Upkeep of inventory of supplies as needed.
