Job summary

Center for Family Life in Sunset Park is seeking a Bilingual English/Spanish Childcare Specialist to help families access childcare assistance. The role involves screening eligibility, coordinating enrollments, and maintaining records in a fast-paced community services setting.

The position is full-time, on-site in Brooklyn, with a schedule discussed with the supervisor. The ideal candidate has a degree or relevant experience, strong communication skills, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Associate or high school with relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience in community engagement or direct service.
• Knowledge of NYC childcare landscape preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff and partners to identify families needing childcare assistance.
• Screen families for eligibility using standardized tools and complete applications.
• Enroll childcare providers and assist with enrolments for children.
• Maintain case records and track enrollment and recertification.
• Attend meetings with project team, funders and stakeholders.
