Job summary

Center for Family Life in Sunset Park is seeking a Childcare Assistance Coordinator to help families access and maintain childcare subsidies. You will screen eligibility, coordinate enrollments, support providers, and maintain case records while connecting families to community resources.

The role also involves data tracking, collaboration with partners, and outreach to advocate for families. On-site work with occasional community travel and evening hours may be required, with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or high school with relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
• Experience in community engagement or direct service.
• Knowledge of NYC childcare landscape or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Screen families for eligibility using a standardized tool and complete applications.
• Enroll childcare providers in the program and assist them in enrolling children.
• Track enrollment and recertification and maintain case records.
• Collaborate with agency staff and external partners to connect families with childcare resources.
• Attend meetings with the project team, funder, and stakeholders.
