Job summary

Greenwich House in New York, NY, is seeking a Childcare Specialist for the NYC Enrollment and Outreach Initiative to connect families with childcare assistance on a grant-funded project.

The role includes screening eligibility, enrolling childcare providers, maintaining case records, and collaborating with staff and community partners to expand access in the Lower East Side and Brooklyn. Flex hours and bilingual abilities are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or high school with relevant experience; BA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen families for eligibility and complete applications
• Enroll childcare providers in the program and assist with enrollments
• Maintain project data and case records for each family/provider
• Collaborate with staff and community partners to connect families with childcare assistance
• Conduct yearly recertifications for continued eligibility
• Travel to engage with families and providers and attend advocacy events
• Communicate effectively with families and outside agency staff
• Be culturally sensitive when interacting with diverse communities
