Job summary

Center for Family Life in Sunset Park, NY, seeks a Childcare Specialist to help families access childcare assistance, screen eligibility, coordinate enrollments, and maintain case records. You will connect families to resources, support providers, and track program data in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.

The role requires strong communication, data entry, and cultural competence with immigrant communities; occasional evening hours and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Mandarin; strong communication skills required.
• Experience in community engagement or direct service preferred.
• Knowledge of NYC childcare landscape or willingness to learn.
• Proficient in data entry and MS Office tools (Word, Excel).
• Demonstrated cultural competence with immigrant communities.
• Friendly, dependable and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff and providers to identify families in need of childcare assistance.
• Screen eligibility using a standardized tool and complete applications.
• Enroll providers and assist with enrolling children in the program.
• Maintain case records and track enrollment and recertification.
• Coordinate with CFLSP Benefits Access & Enrollment team and other CFLSP programs as needed.
• Attend meetings with project team, funder, and stakeholders.
• Advocate for families and support program outreach.
