Job summary

Palm Medical Centers in Tampa, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and the care team in a managed care setting. The MA will perform clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include room preparation, EHR data entry of vitals and medical history, assisting with exams, injections, immunizations, EKGs, phlebotomy, and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of work experience as a CMA.
• Experience with phlebotomy is preferred.
• CMA certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness for patient visits.
• Escort patients, verify identity, and document vitals and medical history in the EHR.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Administer immunizations and injections under supervision.
• Perform EKGs and basic diagnostic screenings as needed.
• Collect and process lab specimens with proper labeling.
• Maintain accurate charting and ensure timely documentation in the EHR.
• Support care coordination and follow-up on orders and referrals.
• Educate patients on chronic disease management and preventive care.
