Job summary

Palm Primary Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers in a patient-centered, managed care setting. The MA will perform clinical and administrative duties, document in the EHR, and help maintain smooth patient flow while upholding HIPAA and quality standards.

The role requires at least 1 year as a CMA, BLS certification, and strong customer service skills. Experience with EHRs and basic injections is preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year work experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
• BLS Certification required; CMA certification required.
• Experience with EHR systems and HIPAA compliance.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure readiness for patient visits.
• Document vital signs, chief complaint and medical history in the EHR.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures and treatments.
• Administer injections under supervision and per policy.
• Perform EKGs, vision tests, and other diagnostic screenings.
• Collect and process lab specimens and ensure proper labeling.
• Maintain accurate charting and ensure documentation is complete.
• Support care coordination, referrals, and test results follow-up.
• Educate patients on chronic disease management and preventive care.
