Job summary

Palm Medical Centers in Land O' Lakes, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in a managed care setting. The MA performs both clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient patient flow and accurate documentation.

You will prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, assist with examinations, administer immunizations, perform EKGs, collect lab specimens, and manage charting in the EHR while upholding HIPAA and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year work experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
• Experience with phlebotomy is preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness for patient visits.
• Document vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history in the EHR.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed.
• Administer immunizations, injections, and medications under supervision.
• Perform EKGs, vision tests, and other diagnostic screenings as required.
• Maintain accurate charting and timely documentation in the EHR.
• Coordinate care and follow up on provider orders and referrals.
• Support patient education on chronic disease management and preventive care.
