Job summary

Compass Connections in Raymondville, TX is hiring compassionate, bilingual staff to provide child welfare support and crisis intervention. The role requires a Bachelor’s in behavioral sciences or related field, plus 1 year of related experience; CPR/First Aid certifications are included.

The position supports emergency shelter and group home placement with responsibilities spanning case management, safety, and community collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services.
• Graduate degree from an accredited program is preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention certifications.
• 1 year of related experience in crisis intervention or equivalent training.
• Experience in child welfare, case management, and with immigrant populations encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines applicable to this position.
• Maintain a caseload per agency policies, licensing and contract standards.
• Participate in workshops and professional development activities.
• Maintain weekly contacts with children and families.
• Assess changes affecting child safety and adapt case plans accordingly.
• Provide feedback to crisis line staff for appropriate crisis responses.
• Engage children and sponsors in the casework process.
• Document progress toward risk reduction and service goals.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, files, and statistics.
• Participate in weekly case staffing with team members.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Implement safety protocols during emergencies with children and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality in all service population areas.
