Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Adult and Dislocated Bilingual Career Advisor to provide career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services onsite at the One-Stop locations in Illinois.

You'll assess client employment needs, develop Individual Employment Plans, and guide job seekers through available programs and opportunities, while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations or workforce development.
• Strong communication and knowledge of community resources.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; ability to learn specialized databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and case management services to the community.
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for workforce programs.
• Assess jobseekers’ employment and training needs and abilities.
• Serve as a liaison between workforce programs and community partners.
• Enter data into participant information systems and related databases.
• Develop Individual Employment Plans (IEP) for customers.
• Guide job seekers through available programs and opportunities.
• Refer individuals to appropriate services and follow up.
• Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and group presentations.
• Maintain compliant case files and eligibility documentation.
• Meet and exceed program benchmarks; participate in staff events.
• Complete all required reports.
