Job summary

Arizona Liver Health is seeking a Call Center Scheduler/Medical Records professional in Mesa, AZ. The role centers on telephonic patient scheduling, data entry, and medical records management within a HIPAA-compliant environment.

Responsibilities include pre-registration, appointment coordination, and accurate documentation in the EHR, while maintaining confidentiality and coordinating with providers across sites.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Windows, and multi-line telephone system.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, providers, and 3rd party vendors.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
• Impeccable written and oral communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Handle telephonic scheduling of patient appointments and follow-up visits.
• Schedule initial and follow-up appointments to optimize provider time and patient care.
• Perform pre-registration by accessing and updating patient information.
• Enter data and confirm appointments accurately.
• Maintain schedule accuracy to maximize patient flow.
• Screen calls, arrange interpreters, and route to appropriate staff.
• Maintain communication with office staff and providers across health centers.
• Ensure patient confidentiality per Privacy Act and HIPAA.
• File/scan laboratory, radiology, and other reports in the EHR within prescribed timelines.
• Send SOC records to Research within 48 hours of screening.
• Route clinical reports to clinic staff and outside parties.
• Handle release of medical records requests and mail/electronic delivery.
• Send medical records release to referring provider when requested.
• Process incoming faxes and route to staff; follow up on failed faxes.
• Maintain good attendance, punctuality, and full shift adherence.
• Demonstrate professional and team-oriented behavior.
