Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is hiring a Behavioral Health Specialist to support client services in a community health setting in Washington. The role involves intake screenings, developing service plans, referrals, and ongoing client advocacy to improve outcomes.

The candidate should have an Associate’s degree in Behavioral Health or related field, two years of relevant experience, and be eligible for Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s degree in Behavioral Health, Health Sciences, or related field.
• Two years of closely related work experience is required.
• Must be eligible for Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration from the State Department of Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
• Identify and categorize age-specific needs (infant to geriatric).
• Conduct intake screenings and create Client Service Plans.
• Make referrals and assist with self-referral.
• Maintain files documenting case management activities and regular contact with clients.
