Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. You will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behaviour intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.

You will teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques, while staying patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team. Training is provided; expected duties include physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Registered Behaviour Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing behaviour intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviours while maintaining a supportive environment.
