Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior plans under supervision of a BCBA. You will teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.

No prior experience required; comprehensive training provided. You should be patient, compassionate, and able to stand and move with children who may weigh up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion for children with autism.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age; high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid certification and tuberculosis test.
• Background check clearance required.
• Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors.
