Job summary

Centria is seeking a Center-Based Spanish Speaking Behavior Technician to support children with autism in a structured clinical setting. You will work one-on-one with a child under the guidance of a BCBA, applying evidence-based strategies to improve communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

The role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and a commitment to ongoing training. Must be able to stand, move, and assist with activities weighing up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under BCBA guidance.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Use safe, positive strategies to reduce interfering behaviors.
