Job summary

ABS Kids is hiring Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in client homes and community settings in California. The role offers part-time shifts with premium pay for bilingual sessions and potential bonuses based on experience.

Entry-level to experienced candidates are welcome; training on the job is provided, including RBT certification assistance, drive time and mileage reimbursement, and company benefits such as PTO and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs.
• A heart for helping kids.
• A calm, steady presence.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations.
• Tech savviness - learn our data collection software.
• Fluent in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child.
• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, social and emotional skills.
• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly.
