Job summary

ABS Kids supports children with autism through one-on-one ABA therapy, focusing on teaching real-life skills. You will collect data on progress and apply play-based approaches to help clients develop motor, social, and daily living abilities.

We welcome those from nanny, teacher, CNA, or caregiver backgrounds, offering paid training on the job and a clear career path with growth opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs.
• A heart for helping kids.
• A calm, steady presence.
• Eagerness and energy to play.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations.
• Tech savviness - learn our data collection software.
• Fluent in Spanish and English strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills.
• Help the child develop essential life skills (motor, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, social and emotional skills).
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly.
