Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist in production and customer service within the bakery department. You will mix, measure, and shape dough, monitor temperatures, and help with inventory and rotation to maintain fresh products for customers.

The role requires basic kitchen skills, a High School diploma or equivalent, and bilingual English/Spanish. You will work in a fast-paced environment with lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods to support daily bakery

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes, roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
• Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery
• Maintaining records of customer orders
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
• Rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
