El Rancho Supermercado is hiring a Pastry Clerk to deliver quality customer service in a retail store setting. You will be a model of the company values while supporting the pastry department and helping customers with inquiries and orders.

The role requires high school completion, a valid Food Handlers Card, and preferred experience in customer service and retail. Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred to assist diverse customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Customer Service and retail experience desirable.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases.
• Maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of all Pastry products and discarding outdated or spoiled items.
• Work with various professional Pastry equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders.
• Takes food orders in person and by telephone.
• All other duties as assigned.
