Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado in Lewisville, TX is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to support daily bakery operations and assist customers with orders. You will mix and measure ingredients for dough, monitor baking quality, assist with inventory, rotate stock, and maintain cleanliness and safety in the department.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic kitchen skills, and bilingual English/Spanish to communicate with diverse customers and teammates in our community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes, roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products.
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing.
• Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery.
• Maintaining records of customer orders.
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately.
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained.
• Rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics.
