Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist in dough preparation, monitor shrink, and ensure bakery orders align with the production schedule while keeping equipment in good operating order and adhering to safety standards.

You will deliver friendly customer service, help with inventory and stock rotation, maintain department cleanliness, and support the bakery team to produce quality goods for our customers and communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic bakery or kitchen skills preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes, roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
• Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery
• Maintaining records of customer orders
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
• Rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
