Job summary

DARCARS of Rockville is hiring a part-time Automotive Receptionist to be the front-line representative in the showroom. You will greet customers, direct them to the right department, answer basic inquiries, and manage calls and messages with a professional, friendly approach.

The role requires strong communication skills, a valid driver’s license, a willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must speak clearly and pleasantly on the telephone and in person
• Strong communication with customers and colleagues
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Commitment to customer service
• Able to follow instructions and reading material
• Able to sit for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Greet showroom customers and determine the nature of their visit
• Direct customers to the correct department and notify the appropriate salesperson
• Answer basic customer inquiries and route more extensive questions
• Enter data into the prospect tracking system
• Manage switchboard and take thorough messages
• Communicate professionally with callers and minimize hold times
• Distribute messages to relevant parties promptly
• Provide basic information to general inquiries
• Update and distribute the company telephone roster
• Perform clerical and accounting tasks as assigned
• Serve as showroom greeter
• Assist with transaction receipts for sale/service when applicable
• Follow the supervisor’s instructions and other duties as needed by management
