Job summary

DARCARS of Silver Spring is seeking an Automotive Service Cashier / Receptionist to be the friendly, front-line representative of our service department. You will greet customers, route inquiries, and assist with basic administrative tasks in a professional manner.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish abilities, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and courtesy.

Qualifications

• Clear and pleasant telephone communication
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and staff
• Ability to speak multiple languages (Spanish) is a plus
• Commitment to customer service
• Ability to read and comprehend policies and instructions
• Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
• Ability to sit for long periods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented approach
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
• Must pass pre-employment background screening

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and determine the nature of their visit.
• Direct customers to the correct department.
• Answer basic inquiries and refer complex questions to the appropriate person.
• Enter data into the prospect tracking system.
• Manage the switchboard and routing of calls.
• Communicate professionally with callers and minimize wait times.
• Take thorough messages with caller details.
• Distribute messages promptly to relevant staff.
• Provide basic information to callers with general inquiries.
• Update the company telephone roster as needed.
• Perform clerical and accounting duties as assigned by management.
