Job summary

DARCARS of Bowie is hiring an Automotive Service Cashier / Receptionist to be the front-line representative in a busy showroom. You will greet customers, direct them to the right department, answer basic inquiries, and manage call routing and messages with professional discretion.

Responsibilities include data entry, switchboard management, and occasional clerical and accounting duties as assigned. A valid driver's license and flexible schedule are required; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must speak clearly and pleasantly on the telephone and in person.
• Strong communication with customers and employees.
• Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
• Commitment to customer service.
• Speak/read/understand instructions and policy documents.
• Previous customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Able to sit for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a team player and able to work evenings and weekends.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Age 18 or older; pass pre-employment background screen.

Responsibilities

• Greet showroom customers and determine the nature of their visit.
• Direct customers to the correct department or salesperson.
• Answer basic inquiries and route complex questions to the right person.
• Enter data into computer-based prospect tracking system.
• Manage switchboard and communicate messages promptly.
• Provide basic information to callers and maintain an updated telephone roster.
• Perform clerical and accounting duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Serve as showroom greeter and support sales staff as needed.
• Handle transaction receipts for sale and service departments if applicable.
