Job summary

DARCARS of Silver Spring is seeking an Automotive Service Cashier / Receptionist. The role greets customers, directs them to the right department, and handles basic inquiries with a professional demeanor. Strong customer service and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are valued.

The successful candidate will manage a multi-line phone system, enter data into a prospect tracking system, and support clerical tasks in a fast-paced, friendly service environment. Flexible scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• Must speak clearly and pleasantly on the telephone.
• Strong communication with customers and employees.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and policy documents.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a team player and flexible with schedule (evenings/weekends).
• Must pass pre-employment/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and determine the nature of their visit.
• Direct customers to the correct department.
• Answer basic inquiries and route to appropriate person.
• Enter data into computer operated prospect tracking system.
• Manage switch board.
• Communicate with callers in a professional and efficient manner.
• Take thorough messages with caller details.
• Update and distribute company telephone roster.
• Perform clerical and accounting duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Make transaction receipts for sales or service if applicable.
