Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Farmington, NM seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, service, appearance and operations. The role leads team members in customer service and manages the store during absences or opposing shifts.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.).
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring training is current.
• Assist in hiring by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling/interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers on shipment arrivals when needed.
• Use electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and refunds issued correctly.
• Ensure merchandise invoicing before product leaves the store and communicate Zipline messages, assign Image Maker tasks and merchandising duties.
• Ensure team members comply with policies and clock in/out as required.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day end procedures, money deposits, bank deposits, and secure building and deliveries.
• Assist in maintaining store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
