Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Hobbs, NM. You will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations, and lead the team in delivering excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom and programs.
• Ensure staffing at the sales counter during peak hours and shifts.
• Assist in setting team goals, coaching, and training updates.
• Participate in hiring: recruiting tasks, interviews, candidate evaluation.
• Answer telephone according to policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, transfers, and DC add orders; notify customers on shipment.
• Manage outside orders efficiently and per procedure.
• Process returns and refunds accurately; stage merchandise in returns area.
• Invoice merchandise including core charges and warranties before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages; delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure policy adherence, schedule adherence, and clocking in/out.
• Perform opening/closing duties and day-end money procedures.
• Maintain store building, signage, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
