Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, and store operations. This role will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and lead the team in serving customers.

Qualifications

• Must have Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
• Experience in retail sales and customer service leadership.
• Ability to work varying shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom and drive program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours and weekends.
• Assist in setting team goals, coaching, and ensuring training is up-to-date.
• Participate in hiring processes and interviewing to select qualified team members.
• Answer phone calls per company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Manage outside purchases and special orders efficiently.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds with correct methods.
• Invoice all merchandise including core charges and warranties before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages; delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to schedule and clock-in/out policies.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and daily cash handling.
• Maintain store building, signage, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
