Job summary

Compass Family Services seeks an Assistant Program Director to assist the Program Director in managing the Holy Family Day Home site. You will handle administrative duties, compliance, reporting, and daily operations while working closely with staff and families. The role requires bilingual capability, nonprofit experience, and comfort with state/funder requirements.

The position is full-time, on-site in San Francisco, with a 37.5-hour week and occasional schedule variations to meet center needs.

Qualifications

• Fluent Spanish and English required.
• One year administrative experience required.
• Experience with Title V programs and early childhood education in SF, with CDE/MRA funding.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or eligible).
• Comfortable in nonprofit setting serving low-income families.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director in daily operations, administration and compliance.
• Prepare reports for government funders (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Enroll and certify families for subsidies and food programs, maintain required documentation.
• Maintain immunization/health records and prepare for licensing/audits.
• Oversee petty cash, attendance reporting, and daily sign-in/out processes.
• Interact with parents, provide center updates, and address concerns.
• Supervise Receptionist, Security Guard, and Family Service Coordinator.
