Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program seeks an Assistant Educator for La Jornada to support teaching staff and contribute to child development. You will help develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and collaborate with educators to monitor academic progress.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required, plus an Associate degree in Education. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle essential for travel between sites and activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in education and/or early childhood education.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Teacher Assistant or Paraprofessional.
• Bilingual English/Spanish; fluency required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing lesson plans based on state requirements and the needs of each child.
• Collaborate with educators to monitor progress and deliver daily lesson plans.
• Support classroom operations when the teacher is absent and work with individual children to promote learning.
