Job summary

Dessert Holdings, based in Aurora, CO, is seeking a Production Shift Manager for the 2nd shift. You will lead the shift to maximize production, drive standard work, KPI attainment, and continuous improvement while ensuring a zero-accident, zero-defect, zero-downtime mindset.

The role reports to the Assistant Plant Manager, guiding supervisors and front-line staff to deliver safe, productive operations aligned with company goals and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven manufacturing leadership with process-oriented operations.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge; Six Sigma training preferred.
• Proficient MS Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems and OH&S standards.

Responsibilities

• Coaches, counsels, mentors, and develops first-level supervisors and team members to improve performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and promote an engaged safety culture.
• Motivate and lead a diverse, high-performing team to meet goals.
• Translate plant goals to all levels ensuring alignment with KPIs.
• Identify production schedule risks and implement mitigation.
• Define and execute actions to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity across the value chain.
• Achieve KPIs and drive improvements in on-time delivery, productivity, and quality.
• Ensure cross-training and develop staff to meet deliverables.
• Promote professional and technical development of staff.
• Assess supervisor performance and provide feedback.
• Use continuous improvement tools to eliminate loss and improve reliability.
