Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Bike Technician in our Bike Department. This role focuses on building and repairing bicycles, delivering exceptional customer service, and recommending products based on cycling knowledge.

You will help maintain in-store bike displays and assist with related equipment assembly. The ideal candidate will have hands-on bike maintenance experience; be able to engage customers with passion and expertise, and promote warranties and loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience building, repairing, and selling bicycles.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).

Responsibilities

• Create a world-class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and selling through customer engagement in the Bike Department.
• Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation.
• Demonstrate ability to interact with customers showing passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment in their sport.
• Promote company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty program, private-label credit cards, and seasonal promotions.
• Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
• Build and repair bikes following established procedures; assist with assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage of the Bike Department to company standards.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Support the team store-wide with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
