Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Bike Technician to provide a differentiated customer experience for cyclists. The role focuses on building and repairing bicycles to established procedures, while offering strong product recommendations tailored to customer needs.

The Bike Tech serves as a knowledgeable guide in the Bike Department, promotes loyalty programs and promotions, and works toward hitting sales goals through bikes and related gear.

Qualifications

• Prior experience building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).

Responsibilities

• Create a world-class customer experience by providing passionate service and selling through engagement in the Bike Department.
• Uphold standards for merchandise presentation.
• Interact with customers to demonstrate passion, knowledge, dedication and commitment to cycling.
• Promote warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty, private-label cards and seasonal promotions.
• Achieve sales goals by selling bikes and related merchandise.
• Build and repair bikes following established procedures; assist with assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
• Maintain Bike Department signage and presentation to company standards.
• Follow safety, loss prevention and SOPs; protect company information.
• Support team across the store with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
