The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is hiring part-time instructors for its growing after-school watershed education program. Watershed Education by Bike (WEB) is a groundbreaking program that gets youth active by teaching them how to safely ride in urban, suburban and trail environments, while also focusing on watershed and environmental education. Bicycles allow students to get out of the classroom and offer hands‑on experiential learning opportunities in the community. When working in multiple environments, instructors will lead a group of 13 students in grades 5th-8th on program-owned bicycles through the trails in Camden and Burlington Counties, NJ. When working in our school aged classroom setting, instructors will prepare and implement watershed education lessons/experiments with children grades K-8th.
