Job summary

Sports Basement in Santa Rosa, CA seeks a Bike Floor Staffer to lead the zone, deliver WOW service, and help manage daily tasks on the sales floor. You will collaborate with leads and management to meet department goals while uplifting the team.

Starting wages range from $21 to $27 hourly, with weekend shifts required and full-time hours. Prior bike retail experience is preferred, and you will train staff on SB tools to create exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous bike retail or industry experience.
• Desire to grow into a leadership role.
• Passionate sports or outdoor enthusiast is a plus.
• Ability to create a WOW experience for every customer.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and staff.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability as your role day to day might change.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds, bend down repeatedly, and stand for the majority of a shift.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Time management and problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of business tools including Google Docs, Shopify, POS systems, Winterstieger, Sales Saver, Lightspeed and Fiori.
• Available to work during operating hours including most weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead zone/department operations and ensure daily task lists are completed.
• Provide WOW customer service and model positive staff morale.
• Delegate roles and oversee staff in zone/department.
• Work on the sales floor in assigned zone, discuss gear with customers.
• Train SB staff to utilize SB tools for WOW experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the zone/department.
• Collaborate with merchandising team to create displays and merchandised flow.
