Job summary

Alila Ventana Big Sur is seeking an Advanced Line Cook to join our fine dining kitchen. You will execute complex recipes, maintain top-tier food safety, and support leadership on high-volume service in a luxury resort setting.

The role requires 2+ years on a sauté and grill station, ability to lift 50 lbs, and strong communication. Culinary degree preferred. Shift from 2pm to 10pm with flexibility, and hourly pay between $25 and $30 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience of 2+ years on a sauté & grill station, at a fine dining restaurant or luxury resort.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for 8 hours, and work under pressure
• Culinary degree preferred; strong communication a must

Responsibilities

• Execute complex recipes and manage high-volume production stations
• Maintain impeccable food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
• Support team leadership and step in for supervision when needed
• Prep and cook proteins, sauces, and composed dishes with accuracy
• Note: All culinary team members may be assigned to support any of our resort’s food & beverage outlets based on business needs, including the main restaurant (breakfast, lunch, and dinner service), in-room dining, poolside service, and banquet events.
