Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking an Equipment Operator (Non-Driver) to support solar construction projects at the Big Island location. You will operate a range of heavy equipment, perform safety checks, and assist with general site tasks to keep operations moving smoothly.

The role requires proven equipment experience, strong safety practices, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions as part of a collaborative team. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and forklifts for grading, trenching, material handling and site prep.
• Perform pre- and post-operational checks; report defects to supervisors.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring proper securing and handling.
• Assist with general labor tasks on site as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and communicate effectively with the team.

Job Overview:Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking an Equipment Operator (Non-Driver) for our Big Island location. This role involves operating various heavy equipment to support solar construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on site.Job Responsibilities:*** Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to, excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and forklifts, to perform tasks such as grading, trenching, material handling, and site preparation.* Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations while operating equipment and performing duties.* Conduct pre-operational and post-operational checks of equipment, including fluid levels, tires, lights, and other components, reporting any defects or malfunctions to supervisors.* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required.* Load and unload materials and supplies as directed, ensuring proper securing and handling.* Assist with general labor tasks on site when not operating equipment.* Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other site personnel.* Maintain a clean and organized work area.* Follow project plans and specifications accurately.Job Qualifications:*** Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting, preferably within renewable energy or solar projects.* Demonstrated ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment safely and efficiently.* Strong understanding of equipment capabilities, limitations, and safety procedures.* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods in various weather conditions.* Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.* Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.* Adherence to strict safety guidelines and commitment to a safe work environment.* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.* High School Diploma or GED preferred.Company Overview:Primoris Renewable Energy, a business within Primoris Services Corporation’s Energy segment, is a leading power generation engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) provider specializing in utility and commercial scale solar power, energy storage, solar repower, and operations and maintenance.
