Job summary

Rexel USA in Boise, ID, is seeking a Quotations Specialist to join our Platt team. You will establish relationships with customers and vendors to secure competitive pricing for bids and review bid packages with technical and commercial requirements.

You will format requests into standardized bid sheets, issue RFQs, collect pricing, and assemble final proposals. Collaboration with Outside Sales and branch teams is essential to success, along with ongoing product knowledge development.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in customer service, PM, or related fields.
• Experience with electrical distribution, lighting, and controls preferred.
• High School or GED required.
• Proficient with Excel/Outlook/Word and quoting tools.
• Able to build relationships with customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Quote low to moderate profile/complex projects.
• Review bid packages and requirements (technical, commercial, documentation).
• Coordinate with Outside Sales/branches on strategy for proposals.
• Format customer requests into standardized bid spreadsheets.
• Issue RFQs to vendors and assemble bid tabulations.
• Prepare and submit final proposals with required documentation.
• May negotiate pricing and suggest substitutes.
• Maintain product knowledge through meetings and training.
