Job summary

Amazon is seeking a highly analytical Business Intelligence Engineer to build analytics and reporting capabilities for capacity management across the outbound fulfillment network. You will translate complex capacity data into actionable insights, collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and operations stakeholders, and design scalable data solutions for real-time and batch analytics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years analyzing data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL
• 1+ years SQL, ETL or Oracle experience
• 1+ years processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources
• 1+ years performing statistical analysis
• 1+ years developing automated reporting
• 3+ years in the job offered or a related occupation
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
• Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software development teams to implement analytics systems to support large-scale data analysis
• Define, develop, and maintain critical business and operational reports reviewed on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Analyze historical data to identify trends and support decision making, including written and verbal presentation of results and recommendations
• Identify data needs and drive data quality improvement projects across multiple data sources and systems
• Understand the broad range of Amazon's data resources, which to use, how, and when
• Provide thought leadership on data mining, analysis, and AI-powered automation to accelerate insight generation
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that support real-time and batch analytics use cases
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define metrics, establish baselines, and measure system performance
