Job summary

Amazon seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer II to join the CDR Pillar 1 Strategy and DX Transformation team in Austin, TX. You will design and maintain scalable data systems, develop ETL pipelines, and deliver dashboards that drive executive decisions across the supply chain and infrastructure services.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, Python, and BI tool experience, plus hands-on AWS data technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field.
• 5+ years data engineering experience with ETL processes.
• 5+ years of SQL experience with complex queries and optimization.
• 3+ years of end-to-end supply chain domain experience (planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, procurement).
• Proficiency in Python and at least one of Java/Scala/NodeJS for data processing.
• 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or QuickSight.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, automated data systems and dashboards to support business needs.
• Collaborate with internal program/product teams to improve data pipelines and Supply Chain Management Systems.
• Apply advanced analytics to extract insights and measure performance from large datasets.
• Build scalable data pipelines for ETL/ELT using SQL, Python, and AWS big data technologies.
• Implement master data management, data governance, quality, deduplication, and synchronization of key entities.
• Incorporate predictive/prescriptive analytics using ML and optimization where appropriate.
• Improve data delivery and release management, optimize infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
• Create comprehensive documentation and establish best practices for data integration solutions.
