Job summary

Garver LLC in Austin, Texas is seeking a motivated Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing analytics team. You will build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, prepare data from multiple sources, and support client deliverables on infrastructure projects.

Under the guidance of senior developers and the Business Analytics Manager, you will develop data models, write SQL queries, and ensure data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a data-related field.
• 1-3 years of analytics or BI experience welcomed.
• Proficiency with Power BI or Tableau for reporting.
• Foundational SQL skills to write and modify queries.
• Strong Excel abilities including formulas and pivots.
• Clear written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards following team standards.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract data from source systems.
• Develop data models, measures, and calculated columns using DAX and Power Query.
• Apply design principles for layout, color, and readability in dashboards.
• Support ongoing maintenance of reports, including data refreshes and enhancements.
• Gather, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources.
• Perform quality checks on data and calculations before review.
• Document data sources, transformation logic, and limitations.
• Participate in requirements sessions, client meetings, and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineering and project managers to understand data behind deliverables.
