Job summary

Balance Staffing in Carrollton, TX seeks a SMT/BGA Repair Operator (Solderer) for the 2nd shift. You will remove, replace, and reflow BGA/SMT components on circuit boards using specialized rework stations, with strict adherence to IPC-A-610 standards and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years related experience.
• Proven experience in BGA rework, component-level repair, and SMT processes.
• IPC soldering certification preferred.
• Proficiency with rework stations, microscopes, soldering irons, multimeters, and understanding thermal profiling.
• Exceptional attention to detail, computer literacy, problem-solving, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Component Rework: safely desolder and remove defective BGA/SMT components and install new ones using rework systems.
• Site Preparation: clean PCB pads, apply solder paste/flux, and prepare area for placement.
• Placement & Reflow: align components and execute precise reflow profiles for joints.
• Quality Inspection: visually inspect and use X-ray to check for defects per IPC-A-610.
• Documentation: maintain logs and follow ECOs/MPIs; adhere to safety protocols.
