Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking an experienced solder technician for a 2nd shift to assemble PCBs and PCBAs using SMT and through-hole techniques. You will work with a microscope, inspect assemblies, and ensure IPC standards are met.

Applicants should have 3+ years of electronics assembly experience, the ability to interpret routers and schematics, and be willing to work overtime to meet production needs. This is an on-site role in Arizona.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• 3+ years of electronics assembly and inspection experience with in-process soldering (through hole and SMT).
• Able to work extended hours utilizing a microscope for inspection and solder touch-ups.
• Hand soldering experience required.
• Knowledge of ESD procedures.
• Onsite soldering assessment to J-STD-001 standards during interview.

Responsibilities

• Use soldering irons to attach electronic components with SMT and Thru hole technologies.
• Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics
• Perform inspections to ensure assemblies meet IPC standards
• Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts
• Modify, solder, rework, repair assemblies and subassemblies per specifications
• Other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor
