Job summary

Heidelberg Distributing Company is seeking a full-time Sales/Route representative to call on assigned retail accounts in Ohio and Kentucky, checking product freshness and rotation. You will build relationships, meet objectives, and merchandise accounts with current POS materials, while supporting the Area Sales Leader’s standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and willingness to lift/move displays; beverage sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Valid Driver's License and be 21+ years old.
• Must drive to multiple locations with adequate insurance.
• Beverage or consumer product sales experience a plus.
• Must learn computer programs; Microsoft Office preferred.
• Very outgoing with strong self-direction.
• Work with minimal supervision and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Execute programs to drive supplier sales objectives.
• Assist Sales Professionals with display builds;Negotiate placement and pricing of POS displays.
• Be knowledgeable of current sales goals to identify opportunities.
• Assist Sales and Operations with product delivery.
• Maintain required retail call frequency.
• Prepare merchandise daily for next-day calls; keep accounts up to date.
• Audit accounts during calls to ensure POS compliance with standards.
• Monitor product freshness and reduce loss through QC.
• Develop Sales Support Route focusing on performance and efficiency.
• Cover sales routes during vacations as needed.
• Respond to retailer questions and resolve concerns.
• Ensure compliance with legal guidelines and company policies.
• Participate in a team environment with feedback and transparency.
